A unique aspect that Montini is able to offer is assistance for students of all different Academic Profiles.
We are blessed to have a partnership with McHenry District 15. This allows us to offer a resource teacher, speech therapist, and have access to English Learner Resources. This is not a common feature within Parochial schools, and we are blessed to offer these resources!
We embrace and welcome students of all academic profiles, and accommodate IEP/504s. Our students benefit from small class sizes and are able to get the help needed weekly.
In addition to academic support, we also are blessed to have Mrs.Noreen Garmisch-our school counslor. Mrs.Garmisch meets with students who need tools and resources for their social emotional development.
Hello! My name is Ann Connor and I am currently the Special Education Teacher at Montini. I started out many years ago as a General Education Teacher and then I decided to pursue my Masters in Teaching Children with Learning Disabilities. I have been teaching over 25 years in a variety of settings. I have taught in a clinical setting and I have also taught at a private school. The majority of my teaching experience has been in public schools, mainly at McHenry Middle School. I truly enjoy teaching at Montini! The school culture here is like no other! At the primary building, I have the pleasure of helping struggling readers learn to read. I also work on early numeracy skills with some of my students. At middle school, I continue to support students with their reading goals as well as working on their math and writing goals.
