My name is Sue Hansen and I am blessed to be the first grade teacher at Montini Catholic School. First grade is a magical year filled with many exciting changes and growth both academically and socially, which is why it has been my favorite grade to teach for over 30 years!
I received my undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree from Concordia University. I have taught at both public and private schools in Lake Zurich, Illinois and McHenry, but I’ve called Montini home for 16 years. I stepped into a substitute teaching position at Montini while my two sons were students here, and ended up staying as a full time teacher when I realized the amazing environment our school offers to parents, students, staff, and the community.
There is so much to explore and learn throughout first grade - math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. But the best part is being able to experience it all in a faith-filled environment, and I’m grateful to be a part of it at Montini!
