I joined the family of Montini Catholic School the summer of 1988. I had just completed my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. I have been fortunate to teach both second and third grade throughout my 35 years at Montini. Over the years, I continued my education by taking classes and participating in professional development opportunities. This has helped me improve my skills, expand my knowledge and engage my students.
One of my favorite things about teaching at Montini is that I get to share the love of my faith with others. Being Catholic is one of the most important parts of who I am, and I bring that love of God and others everyday to our classroom.
I have been married for 33 years. My husband and I enjoy traveling, camping and hiking. We have two beautiful daughters. They both graduated from Eastern Illinois University and are living their dream in Florida.
Montini has become home to me, and the community has become my family. I enjoy igniting and fostering my students’ love of learning while also deepening their love of their faith.
