It has been my privilege to teach second grade at Montini for the past four years. I have always had close ties to Montini throughout my professional and personal life. I attended Montini 1st through 8th grade and then graduated from Marian. I then went on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Elementary at Northern Illinois University and later earned a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. I believe it is important to remain current on the latest teaching techniques so I continue to take classes and professional development.
I taught in the public school system for sixteen years. I was fortunate to be hired at Montini after raising my family. I have had the opportunity to work at several schools but returning to Montini was like coming home. It is so nice to be able to intertwine my faith with my passion for education.
In my classroom, I strive to provide a caring environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning together. Second grade is an important Sacramental year as students prepare for First Reconciliation and Holy Communion. I feel honored to play a part in these special milestones.
I have a loving and supportive family. My husband and I have been married for 25 years. We are members of St. Mary’s Parish in McHenry. We have raised 2 wonderful daughters who both attended Montini preschool through eighth grade.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, fishing, and kayaking.
I am looking forward to another great year at Montini!
