I began my teaching career in 2005 here at Montini while student teaching in the third grade alongside, Mrs. Kolasinski. From that experience I was honored with two future teacher of the year awards from the state of Indiana. After graduating I went on to teach from 2005-2016 at St. Margaret Mary School in Algonquin where I earned the Wal-mart Teacher of the Year for 2006 and the McHenry Deanery Catholic Educator of the Year from the Rockford Diocese in 2015. After beginning my vocation of motherhood I was able to move closer to home and join the Montini family, in 2016, as a long-term substitute for fourth grade. I fell in love with the families and community here and was able to begin my journey in my dream job of Campus Minister and teacher of Religion & Art.
I earned my degrees in 2005 from St. Joseph College in Indiana where I studied a major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and minored in Business Administration and Art. In 2009 I earned a Masters of Arts in Teacher Leadership from St. Xavier University. And in 2019 I completed the Diocese Ministry Formation program. I have worked as a Catechist workshop presenter for the past ten years. Before that I was a Director of Religion Education at St. Patrick’s Church in Hartland.
I am happily married and a proud mother of three Montini students, a fourth grader, third grader, and a Little Angel in our 3 year old program. I am an active member of my parish, St. Patrick in Hartland where I have attended for the past 30 years. I have a passion for serving others and enjoy volunteering with a variety of organizations, but this summer focused my time volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.
What I love most about Montini is the people, truly they are welcoming and prayerful. What I am most blessed to do in my roles here at Montini is witness God’s love grow deeper in our students, families, and teachers. It really is an honor to be able to actively serve the Lord here at Montini.
