I am delighted to share with you my journey as an educator, my deep connection with Montini, and the joy I find in teaching.
My academic path began McHenry High School, and then at Northern Illinois University, where I graduated with honors. I earned a degree in English Education, with an endorsement in Social Studies and a certificate in Educational Foundations. Equipped with a passion for literature, history, and the art of teaching, I embarked on my career in education.
Currently, I am entering my ninth year as an educator, and I am proud to say that eight of those years have been spent teaching at Montini. Being from McHenry, it fills me with immense pride to have the opportunity to teach at the same school my father graduated from. It creates a special bond, linking generations and cherishing the legacy of my family.
I am happily married and reside in McHenry with my husband and our son, who is currently a student at Little Angels Preschool, a part of the Montini community. Teaching at Montini has not only impacted my professional life, but it has also transformed my perspective on faith. This extraordinary school has played a pivotal role in my spiritual journey, leading me to embrace my faith more fully. As a result, I had the privilege of participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at Holy Apostles and receiving my confirmation in my 20's. Montini has truly been a catalyst for personal growth and deepening my connection to my beliefs.
Within Montini, I have found my true calling as an English teacher for students in grades 6 to 8. I am fortunate to nurture young minds and inspire a love for language, literature, and critical thinking. Alongside my teaching role, I am honored to serve as the Director of Marketing and Admissions for Montini. This role allows me to share the incredible experiences and opportunities Montini offers to prospective families, helping them understand why Montini is a beacon of educational excellence.
Finding my school home at Montini has been a true blessing. It is a place where I witness tremendous growth and development in my students, academically and personally. In my classroom, I strive to create an environment filled with learning, laughter, and a sense of playfulness. While I challenge my students academically, I also believe in the importance of allowing them to be children, fostering their creativity and curiosity. Seeing their progress and witnessing the spark of understanding in their eyes brings me immeasurable joy.
Montini, as an institution, continues to evolve and grow. Being part of this journey has been an incredible experience, and I take pride in contributing to the school's success and development. The Montini community is filled with dedicated educators, supportive families, and eager learners. Together, we create a vibrant and nurturing atmosphere that encourages students to flourish academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
I am immensely grateful to be a part of the Montini family, where I can make a positive impact on the lives of my students and witness the transformative power of education.
