Montini Catholic School is offering a $1,000 grant to all students transferring into grades 1-8 from public, private, or charter schools. This full offer is available through August 2025. Any new transfer student after that will receive the reduced grant of $500 until the end of January 2026.
Please note that students transferring from other parish schools within our Deanery are not eligible for this grant, as we want to help neighboring schools remain strong. The transfer student must be accepted into the school and remain enrolled for the rest of the school year.
We invite you to schedule a tour with Mrs. Stark to experience Montini firsthand and discover what makes our community special. Click below or call us at 815-385-1022 to speak with Mrs.Stark.

Here’s what you’ll find at Montini:
- Opportunities for students to engage with peers from other grade levels through activities like our internationally recognized house system and reading buddies.
- A strong curriculum that includes Religion, STEM, History, Math, Science, Reading/Literature, and English, along with enriching classes in Art, Spanish, PE, Music, and Technology.
- Technology that enhances learning, without replacing hands-on experiences.
- Instruction in phonics and cursive for all grades.
- A wide range of clubs to meet students' diverse interests, such as Art, Cooking, Theater, Gardening, and more.
Our athletic programs include Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Volleyball, and Track & Field for students in grades 5-8. Additionally, Montini students consistently score above grade level on standardized tests, with many of our graduates beginning high school in honors classes.
For families within D15 boundaries, free bus services are available, along with before and aftercare options for all students.
1. **Can former Montini students take advantage of this program?**
- Yes! As long as they left in good standing and complete the re-admission process, they are eligible.
2. **If a family has multiple children, do they receive $1,000 per child?**
- Yes! Each child will receive a $1,000 grant, so a family with two children will receive $2,000, and so on.
