The Montini Catholic School uniform was instituted for two purposes. The first is to provide a sense of community for our students. The second is to assist the students and their families in selecting clothing that will also provide for modesty. The entire school community must work together for these goals to be accomplished. Therefore, the following steps should be followed:
Purchase clothing that fits the student properly. As previously stated, clothing should provide for modesty, which means that garments should be neither too tight nor too large. I have frequently heard the phrase “form-fitting” to describe garments that “hug” the body. These are not appropriate for school uniforms. By the same token, garments that are worn very loosely also tend to suggest a certain lifestyle that is not conducive to our school’s mission statement. With the way that children grow, it is unfortunate that uniforms need to be replaced on a regular basis. Just because a student can “fit” into a uniform does not mean that it is properly sized for school standards. Uniforms should fit loosely enough to provide for comfort and room for growth.
Purchase clothing that meets the guidelines of the Montini Handbook for Students and Parents. If you have questions concerning a certain clothing article, please contact the school, and we will be happy to assist you.
When you arrive at this page go to the "Helpful Hints for Parents" section on the left side. Click on the "Find Your School's Dress code". Choose the "Preferred School Number" tab. The number for Montini is 900093170. Choose the "View Dress Code" tab.
